How often should I take a class?

We often say, ‘how quickly do you want to see transformation?’ Whatever your goals, be they releasing stress, finding relaxation, learning to quiet the mind, or improving physical health, the more often you practice, the more yoga will become a part of your daily life both on and off the mat. At least once per week, but 3 or more and you’ll discover change quickly.

What are your hours?

Hanuman’s Leap is open 20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of a class. As we are a small studio, we do not hold regular staffed hours.

What classes are good for beginners?

Beginners are welcome in any class that is not described as ‘intermediate-advanced.’ Specifically, try our BASICS Class. Intimidated to join a class? You may prefer one-on-one sessions with an instructor. Also try our Yoga 101 Course.

Do you offer Hot Yoga?

No. this location does not allow that option

What should I wear?

Anything that is comfortable and allows you to move freely. 
You will be barefoot in the yoga room.

Is there a place to change?

Hanuman’s Leap has a bathroom that is suitable to change your clothes. There is storage in the entry of the the Yoga Room for your belongings and personal items.

What should I bring?

Hanuman’s Leap has everything you need for the perfect yoga experience including mats, props, blankets, and water service to refill your bottle or have a cup of tea. You are welcome to bring your own mat and water bottle.

Where can I park?

The rear parking lot is available for off street parking. On street parking along W. Madison St. is closer to the studio entrance.

Can I share my Class Punch Card?

Yes! Absolutely! Please do. Remember that the classes you purchase on your Punch Card NEVER expire.

Is there a student discount?

Yes. Drop-ins are $10 and 10-class passes are $85 with a valid student ID.

Please wear comfortable, breathable clothing. And prepare for your changing body temperature by wearing layers or bring a blanket.
Eat lightly prior to attending a class. A digesting stomach may make you feel uncomfortable. Drink plenty of water before and after your class. Feel free to take water into the yoga space provided it is in a bottle.
Please treat the studio as a sacred space and remove shoes prior to entering the yoga space. Please leave belongings in the storage space provided.
Please refrain from wearing perfumes or fragrant lotions.
Please turn off all cell phones and devices.
Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to class time. The door will be locked 5 minutes after the class begins and late arrivals will be admitted at discretion of the instructor.
If you need to leave your class early, please do so before final relaxation begins.
If you are pregnant or have an injury, please notify the instructor.
Use your instructor as a guide. Listen and ask questions. Just keep breathing! Do not feel forced to perform asanas (postures) above your body’s current ability. Above all listen to the wisdom of your body!
